Easter Morning
Easter morning is always fun! We got up early for our egg hunt and so the kids would have some time to play before heading off to church.
We did the egg hunt a little differently this year. In the past it has been a free for all. "Find your x number of eggs and be done." This year we let Carson wander and find his first, then Dillon, then Kayda so that the easiest ones weren't all snatched up before Carson could get to them. It worked out great for the kids and made taking pictures a whole lot easier! Carson took a second to figure out what to do. You can tell in the picture that he didn't know what to do. We said to find an egg. He found one... then what? He was a speedy guy after that first egg!
This face cracked me up.
Kayda was so happy to find an egg in this little nest. It was abandoned out in our front tree when we moved in so when we moved the tree we took it out. The kids like to look at it and play with it from time to time.
Bubbles seem to have become an Easter tradition. These big wands are fantastic and WAY easier for Carson to blow bubbles with than the regular wands. They also each got a book and a plant for their gardens (they've each claimed one in the front yard).
We got the dinner table all set early since we were using the china. Carson wanted to eat immediately and sat at his plate the whole time. This was at about 1 and we didn't eat until about 5.

Getting Ready for Easter
Today we got to color Easter eggs! We got the traditional dipping kind but then we also found a cool little kit with rollers that the kids LOVED.
We also made cupcakes so we would have a little treat after dinner tomorrow!
