Thanksgiving!

We followed our new tradition of having Thanksgiving just our little family this year.  It was, once again, fairly relaxing!  The kids helped with EVERYTHING.  When I say everything I mean that Kayda even helped me stuff and lace the turkey! 

 Kayda and I were trying to match our hair.... Unfortunately curl leaves my hair in a matter of minutes.  Hers still looked beautiful though!

 Check out that turkey!  The meat was falling off the bone!  The last two years we had issues with under cooking it even though we followed the times so this year I planned for an extra hour... I ended up having to turn down the oven while we made mashed potatoes and such! LOVE THESE KIDS!

 We don't get many occasions to use the china so of course it had to come out!

After dinner we had fun with the camera and attempted some pictures.   We had varying levels of success.  

 This picture is just for me.  I went to kiss Carson on the cheek and he turned and kissed me right as the camera flashed!

Happy Birthday Kayda!

Yesterday was Kayda's SEVENTH birthday.  I can't believe how big this girl is!  Tuesday we celebrated an early Thanksgiving/Kayda's birthday with Grandma and Papa G, Uncle Justin and Ayana.  Unfortunately those pictures are all on Grandma G's camera.  Wednesday was a great day for her.  We had lunch at McD's, then went and saw Frozen at the big movie theater.  After that we ran home and got tacos and rice going for dinner with Grandma and Papa H.  Kayda said it was the best birthday ever!  (I think she said that last year too!)

A Little Early But We're Happy!

We were more than a little excited to decorate the new house for Christmas for the very first time!  Usually we decorate the weekend of Thanksgiving but with Kayda's birthday and Mommy and Daddy's 10 year anniversary on either side of Thanksgiving we were planning to do it a week early.  Well... we ended up two weeks early, for the inside at least.  The outside can wait until next weekend!

 It's blurry but it's the only one we've got of Daddy!  He had headphones on one ear so he could listen to the football game while we decorated.

 Mingo even got to hang with us while we decorated!

We've got little bits of Christmas all over inside now and it makes me all warm and tingly!  I LOVE Christmas!  It's such a fun time of year with little kiddos and mine are the BEST.
