Just because...

We have a camera, and we have three adorable children... put the two together and we get:

Just a little memory.  Auntie Kina nicknamed Carson "gummy bear" when she saw the first developmental illustrations when I was about 8 weeks pregnant.  She proceeded to try and find an outfit for him that was bears.  This is the coat to the outfit, though it's a little big because it's 3 months.  I wanted to share this because I find it funny that people have given us gifts and a lot of them have been bear themed!  Without knowing that he had been deemed "gummy bear".  Dillon was given one or two bear themed clothes, Carson has received many more.  (By the way if you're one of the ones that has given him a gift thanks again, it's fun to have new things meant JUST for him).

I have a fascination with their eyes so now I'm on a quest to get a picture of each of their eyes.  These are my first efforts, definitely going to keep trying though.

I did not realize how incredibly difficult it is to get pictures without a working flash.  We definitely need to hurry and get that fixed!

Random pictures... yes already

I can't believe how quickly he's getting big!  Kayda and Dillon adore him for sure!  Okay, so we ALL adore him!

Carson's welcome party!

Today we had a "meet the baby" party for Carson.  Friends and family came by to meet him and hold him.  He got passed around like crazy but he barely ever got fussy!  He is such a good baby!  We heard repeated comments about how "good he feels in your arms" and how cute he is and how beautiful his skin is.  As I said before, another perfect baby!  I was kind of busy so I didn't get many pictures but here are pictures of some of the kiddos that came by.  I missed some but they were having a blast!
Here's Reis with Carson.  Carson just stared at Reis.  All that dark hair is apparently very interesting to a newborn!
 Kimber, Ella and Bridger.
This is the fewest kids there were in the pool for the majority of the time.  At the VERY end we were down to two but they were having a FANTASTIC time! (Jarrett, Dillon, Raef and Reis)
Kayda, Aileena and Bridger in the background.
Peyton was enjoying the food.  Several other kids were playing inside having a great old time!  We thoroughly enjoyed spending the time with friends and family!

Visiting Doc and Brutis

Yesterday Uncle Justin invited us to join he and Ayana to see Doc and Brutis.  Doc and Brutis are the horses that belong to one of Uncle Justin's childhood friends.  He brought Kayda and Dillon there for Kayda's third birthday and she proceeded to name almost any black horse she had "Brutis".  Dillon has decided that since Kayda pretty much claimed Brutis he gets Doc.  So his toy horses tend to be "Doc".  Brutis has an absess that was being treated so he was tied up to the fence so they got to go right up to him.  He is a VERY large horse so the kids were a little intimidated until they were in someone's arms.

Carson didn't get to see much, he was out cold when we got there and stayed that way through the whole thing!
Liz (the owner) gave them permission to go find some apples to feed the horses.  So each of the kids got an apple for Doc and an apple for Brutis.  The dogs thought they should play with them though, I think the dogs thought they were tennis balls.

Carson's first doctor appointment, 10 days

I took Carson into his first appointment with our pediatrician today.  The general rule is that they want a newborn to be back at their birthweight by 14 days.  Well Carson is 10 days old and is 1.5 oz PAST birthweight!  Doc checked him out and he is as healthy as can be.

Here are his stats:
21.25 inches long (90th percentile, 2 inches longer than birth)
9lbs 0.5 oz (80th percentile, 1.5 oz heavier than birth)
14.5 inches head circumference (60th percentile)

This little man is eating like crazy and apparently growing like crazy too.  Now if only I could get him to switch his day time sleeping habits with his night time sleeping habits.  Daddy and I had initially planned to introduce him to 1 bottle a day at 2 weeks but he's nursing so well we gave it a shot last night, he took the bottle without any problems and didn't eat again for just under four hours.  Going to leave Daddy with the 11pm feeding and I'll get some good sleep!!!  He's actually not doing too bad for being 10 days old but goodness it gets exhausting when you're doing it alone.  Not a lot Daddy can do when Carson is being nursed.

Loving on Carson

Kayda and Dillon are such wonderful big siblings!  They LOVE to hold and snuggle Carson.  Course a lot of times when they ask to snuggle him I'm feeding him so they have to wait a little while.  They are so sweet with him, they get rattles and try to play with him, they constantly give him kisses (cheek, forehead and head) and they love to just touch him.  They are so careful and gentle!

We headed down to Daddy's office so Carson could meet everybody.  Here are Kayda and Dillon in the elevator.

Daddy had a great time showing Carson off, everyone thought he was just wonderful and SO cute!

Bringing Carson Home!

Wednesday morning we got out of the hospital as quickly as we could.  I'd had enough of being woken up and having Carson woken up as well.  We left about 9:20am and headed over to Grandma G's to be sure big brother and sister would be at home with us when Carson got there for the first time.

After a few minutes at Grandma's waiting for Kayda to wake up we headed home.  I fed Carson, clipped his fingernails and then he was confiscated by Kayda.  She wanted to hold him!  Which was fine, Daddy took up watch and I took off to nap.  When I woke up several hours later he was back in her lap, though the pictures Daddy took prove that she let him go at least for a short while!

More visitors since we're home!  Here's Baba, this is her 36th great grandchild (I hope that was right, I believe that's what we decided when we tried counting them all up).  She got to enjoy a solid 2 hours of snuggle time with sleeping Carson and she LOVED it!
Aunt Anna and Uncle Scott came over with their three little ones.  Here is Carson with Brett, Carson is not quite 2 days old, Brett is right about 7 weeks old.
Aunt Anna and Uncle Scott trading off babies.  Peyton and Mikey were off playing with Kayda and Dillon, they have a baby of their own so understandably Carson didn't hold much interest with them!

This morning Papa G was able to make it over.  He has been on a business trip so he and Grandma G came over as soon as he got home from work.  Kayda and Dillon wanted his attention, every picture I've got they're engaging him in conversation.
He is so cute all curled up when you hold him so I decided to put him on the boppy.  I just barely managed to catch his little smile!
Kayda LOVES baby Carson.  Dillon was busy playing in the other room when we were taking pictures but she jumped right in!
Thursday night Aunt Sarah and Uncle Pat came over with Ella and Nathan to meet the baby.

We tried to get Ella to hold Carson but she wasn't really feeling up to it, she just wanted to snuggle with her daddy.
