Saturday Night Movie

Last night we decided to be a little lenient on bed time...granted it only differed by about half an hour. We were letting them finish watching Kung Fu Panda. Kayda thinks that movie is hilarious and she gets really into it. Dillon was mesmerized by it. I thought it was cute that they both wanted to snuggle with Daddy so here they are. All snuggled together in the big round chair that has been hidden back in the den up until about two weeks ago. They definitely love their Daddy!

Part of the Family

We got Hank about a month and a half ago. We've really enjoyed him. He is very much a snuggler. We usually enjoy this but it can be very difficult when I have two small children in my lap and he decides he wants to be there too! He likes to be where we are no matter what other options are available. For instance just this last weekend Daddy left the gate open (he had been working on the indoor framing of our windows and forgot to shut it when he finished). I didn't realize that so I let Hank out. 10-15 minutes later it occured to me that the gate might be open so we looked and sure enough it was. So Daddy raced to the front door and Hank was just hanging out in our front yard and came right back in the house when we called. Here are a couple of pictures of him with the kids. He is REALLY good with them and they love him. I was a little late with the pictures. Kayda had actually been laying ON Hank watching TV, they were both perfectly content. With Dillon, Hank had been curled up in the chair with him, again perfectly content. But naturally as soon as mommy gets the camera everyone has to move!!

Meant to be Siblings

They say that you choose your family before you come to earth and receive a body. Watching my two little ones I believe every word of it. I like to think that we ended up having Dillon earlier than planned because he couldn't bear to be without Kayda any longer. They are so wonderful together and Brian and I live our lives entirely for them. These are just the most recent pictures of them sitting together I have many others. They are constantly playing together, sitting together, sometimes snuggling. Kayda will give him hugs and kisses, Dillon will follow her everywhere. They are so much fun to watch as their relationship continues to develop. What can I say? We love our babies and fortunately they love eachother.

All for the Sake of Entertainment

As a quick meal the other day we gave Kayda and Dillon spaghetti and meatballs. Kayda did pretty well as far as staying clean goes but Dillon was an ENTIRELY different story. At least we thought to take off his clothes before he ate!

Kayda randomly decided that she didn't want to wear her shirt anymore. She has mastered removing shoes, socks, diapers, pants, pajamas but she can't quite figure out shirts. She made some pretty entertaining faces while she was attempting this. After a few minutes I took mercy on her and helped her take them off but not without the pictures!
Kayda has turned into a climber. She climbs on her dresser in her room and sits there, she'll get on the table if we don't catch her first. She has now determined that the back of the couch is GREAT fun to climb on. She was laying on it and crawling all over it and of course Dillon wanted up there too but he needed more help with it so Daddy's holding onto him. They had a great time!
