Carson's first day of preschool!

Wednesday was Carson's first day  of preschool.   He was pretty excited but NOT enthusiastic about having his picture taken. 

 On the way in we kept trying to get a picture.   Every time he did this.

At preschool they are fed lunch before class actually starts.   He was very hesitant but got going after a little while. It was a short day just so the kids had an idea about the teacher and the place,  and they had us fill out tons more paperwork.   It ended up being done after about 1.5 hours.

He had class again yesterday.   He really struggles with being away from people he is familiar with so I knew I would need to stick around for a while.  I ended up being able to leave as soon as he was done eating.   He was actually okay with me leaving which is a huge improvement over last year!   His teacher sung his praises when I came to pick him up telling me how he did everything he was asked,  followed the rules,  played nicely with the other kids and listened.  As far as I can tell he is quite excited to go again on Tuesday!

First day of school: Kayda (3rd) and Dillon (2nd)

Wednesday was Kayda and Dillon's first day of school.  It doesn't feel like we really had a summer since we were gone so long.  It feels oddly as if time should have been paused while we were away.  So it feels like we blinked and were back to school.  They were both super excited and had a wonderful day at school!  Dillon has Kayda's teacher from last year, who is phenomenal, and Kayda has that teacher's daughter!  Carson and I are getting a lot of snuggle time in and taking care of errands.  Our house has yet to recover from South Dakota so eventually he and I will get working on that.  His first day is next Wednesday and he is ready to go!
