Summer fun!

We have been making great use of the pool.  It has been a gorgeous,  hot spring and as the school year came to an end the kids played in it at least once a day! 

 Kayda got to spend the night at Grandma h's  so the boys got special swim time.   Anytime someone is helping him swim Carson calls it lessons.   He will say "i want you to come in and do lessons".

 The day school got out a few people from our town got together to have a mini water fight.   The Kids had a blast. Unfortunately most of the parents showed up unprepared so it didn't last as long as we had hoped.

 Turned out to be a good group of kids!

 More pool time of course.   Kayda and Dillon pay with Carson so sweetly.   They'll carry him around the pool,  let him swim out to them,  swim between then,  holds onto them while they go underwater etc.   When he's in there with them and no mommy in the pool they are absolutely the most gentle,  caring siblings anyone could ever want.

Bits and pieces

Today we had the baseball banquet.   The kids really loved this season of baseball.   Between having daddy coach and all the kids they knew on the team it was loads of fun!

 Meet little Mr.  Weston.  I have been watching him 3 days a week and well watch him full time a little longer until his parents can find a good daycare.   Kayda,  Dillon and Carson adore him!  They are such a big help with him.    Watching them with him makes me sad to be done having children but having him here reminds me that it's nice to be done!   He can be their brother from another mother.

 Carson spent his time at the baseball games with Berkley.   She is the sister if Kayda's good friends Kennedi.  He would pack his snacks and toys and pack extra just for her!

  The weather has been so beautiful!  We are in for quite a treat of a summer.   The kiddos are in the pool every day.   Carson won't wear his life jacket anymore.  He is quite adventurous!  He is constantly asking me to get in the pool with him for his "lessons".  He swims across the pool easily but will only do it if I have my hands out under water for him to grab.  He loves to do Canon balls and jump off the ladder.

 Carson's preschool had an end of year barbeque.   Daddy was able to take the morning to be a watch dog in Kayda and Dillon's classes and then come to the barbeque.   Carson's teacher was amazing.   We're sad to go to a different preschool next year but it will be a good transition to kindergarten.

The Rodeo!

Today we decided to try out the rodeo.  I've never been to one, the kids have never been to one, Daddy has a vague recollection of one.  

 The kids were so excited to see so many horses!

 Our favorite part of watching people try to ride broncos was watching the guys catch the horses afterwards!

 Kayda was so excited to watch the cowgirls do the breakaway roping!

 I think this was our favorite event. It was called Chute Cow Milking.  So the cows started in the chute, you had to pull it with a rope past a line, then hold it long enough for 1 of the 3 team members to get some milk in a bottle then run it and the harnass over to the finish line.  Only two teams managed to get milk from their cows. The rest ended up dragging people through the dirt and breaking free.  It was hilarious.

 Our second favorite event was Chariot racing!

 Kayda just loved anything that a girl was doing to barrell racing was a big hit for her.

 And of course they HAD to pet a pony!

 And on the way home, every single one of them fell asleep.
