Soccer Jamboree

Saturday was the soccer jamboree for Kayda and Dillon.

Here's Dillon all lined up, he actually has two boys from our ward on the same team, Hayden and Zach.

Kayda wasn't too happy that she had to wait for her turn but she was willing to carry in her chair and everything... SO stinking cute!

 Warming up!

 Huddle up for game time!

Waiting for kick off after half time, he ended up getting all those boys from his team running around the circle.  As you can see Carson REALLY wanted to join in.

\
Dillon was throwing the ball in.  He ended up throwing it to himself, notice the next picture!

He threw it out in front of himself so he could take off with it down the field!  He did a great job, didn't get to touch the ball much but he was already right there by it.  He would literally just run along beside the person that had the ball.  It didn't matter what team they were on he would just run along beside them not even trying to take the ball.  At a couple of points he was trying to kick the ball but it ended up looking like he was trying to run in place trying to get his feet just right as the ball was knocked around by other players.  He had a great time!

 Kayda waiting for pictures!

Let me just say this girl can RUN!  She wasn't too sure what she was doing, she hasn't been able to make it to many practices because of other things we've had going on but she was right in the thick of it anyway!

Defend the goal!  She did just what she was supposed to do but the rest of the team was off at the other end, since the coach didn't seem to care where the kids were I just sent her off to catch them.

End of the game tunnel!  I think she liked soccer better than t-ball.  There's so much more movement@

Family Day

Sometimes life is hard.  We've had a lot of that lately so we decided our family needed a day.  We called the schools and let them know Kayda and Dillon wouldn't be in and then we took off to the beach.  The drive was a little longer than we remembered.  We went to Twin Harbors State Park, yeah... definitely not a good camp ground by the way.  Anyway.  We spent a few hours there.  It was Carson's first time to see the ocean!  He actually wasn't very interested in the water which is weird for him.  But he LOVED the giant, never ending sand box!  When we first got there the weather was perfect!  But then the wind went cold and Carson did not like that.

And...then the camera dies.  If this had been a planned trip I would like to think I would have checked that.  It worked out though, made it easier for me to just play.  We flew kites, built a sand castle, made an obstacle course and when Carson couldn't handle the beach anymore we went to the parking/picnic area and climbed a few trees before we headed home.

It was a great spur of the moment trip.  I think the kids really enjoyed it despite the 5 hours of driving.

Dillon's First Day of Preschool!

Monday was Dillon's first day of preschool!  He was SO excited!  It helps that he went there last year too so he's totally familiar with everything but he was READY.  He gets to be a frog this year!  He was so cooperative and wanted me to take pictures which of course I was planning on doing anyway!

Carson wasn't going to have much choice in the matter!  Dillon was going to get a picture with him no matter what!

We waited for Kayda to be picked up by the bus (she wouldn't let us take any pictures of her, she didn't want to go to school and was pouting).  Then he got to choose which car to ride in (he chose the Jeep) and we were off.

He knew just exactly what to do!
He was SO excited to have a FROG name tag this year!

And here are his teachers!  Miss Donna and Miss Brenda!  I love these ladies!
