I've been wanting to take the kiddos to the zoo for a few weeks now and it just wasn't looking like we were going to be able to because we have so much going on. So I decided to go with Grandma and Grandpa G today, it was a beautiful 70 degree weather kind of day. Unfortunately Daddy wasn't able to come with us but we still had a good time! The kids had a great time running around the zoo, Kayda wasn't very interested in much of anything for very long so we moved through all the exhibits fairly quickly. We watched the beluga whale show, Kayda and Dillon both really liked it when it jumped and when it splashed its tail. Dillon absolutely LOVED the fish.
We couldn't get Kayda to stop for longer than a minute or two...until we got back to the whale's underwater viewing area. The whale kept swimming right by the window and both Dillon and Kayda thought that was fantastic. They would've stayed there all day if we hadn't hauled them off to go to lunch!
We were going to go to the train museum and go on a train ride but Dillon was falling asleep so we'll do that another weekend. We stopped at McDonald's for lunch, we ended up being there for almost an hour because Kayda was in the play area. Too bad so many McDonald's are getting rid of those now.
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa G for coming with us we had a GREAT time!
