Tubing!

Today we headed up to Grandma and Papa H's to help out with replacing some windows and the hope that the weather would cooperate so we could go out on the boat.  Well it turned out to be a little windy but we went anyway!  Kayda and Dillon have never been on the small boat.  Kayda was on it when I was six months pregnant, and she rode on the big boat when she was about 8-9 months old along with Dillon in the womb.  Today was their first opportunity to enjoy the thrill of tubing!  

 Kayda spent the night at Grandma and Papa H's house a while back and helped Papa with the boat.  In exchange they made a contract stating that Kayda would be the first kiddo to go tubing.  Papa honored it, here she is with me for the first ride of the day.  She is our thrill seeker, roller coasters, jumping off things into water, riding tubes.... you name it, she's game.  She warmed up to it immediately and was shouting "Woohoo!" at the top of her lungs.

 Dillon took a little while to warm up but once he did he couldn't stop giving Papa the thumbs up (faster).  Occasionally he would get a little nervous, like the first time he rode out of the wake, but he quickly became a fan.

 Daddy and Kayda decided to topple into the water after the engine was cut.  

 Dillon decided to join in. 

 Carson thoroughly enjoyed watching us on the tube.  He wasn't interested in going on himself, even with Mommy.  Normally he'll do most anything if he has me so we'll try again later this summer.

 When it was time to head in (the fumes from the engine kept blowing into Grandma and Papa and were making them feel a little ill) Kayda decided to brave a ride solo.  She LOVED it.  Dillon wanted to go after her but we were out of time so he can ride first next time.

Dillon and Kayda played the role of flagger.  If a person is in the water the flag is up.  Dillon took it very seriously and wouldn't go into the water until it was put up.  He caught us several times!

We had a great time with Grandma and Papa, I realized I didn't get any pictures with them so next time we'll be sure to catch it! Thanks Grandma and Papa, it was AWESOME!
